Oi has it ever. Sorry about that but I have been busy lately...well as busy as a part time working, stay at home...husband can be. But then again luckily there are bunches of stuff to talk about. For starters, Whit and I went to France to go snowboarding!
Now you may ask, "Why the hell did you move to Switzerland just to go snowboarding in France?" Now that is a valid question, but it would make less sense to travel to France to go snowboarding when living in Minnesota, well at least cheaper :) But the reason we went was to meet up with Laura, someone we haven't seen since we moved here. And if it wasn't for the move, we probably wouldn't see her ever, which is pretty sad to think about. But on topic, snowboarding hurts. As you can see from some of the pics on facebook, I ate snow, a lot. I was hitting the ground almost more than I was boarding on top of it. Even if it is powder it still hurt. The bad thing is, Whit didn't even get the best crash(es) of the weekend. I mean I'm talking, flying down a hill, catching the toe edge, and smacking face first in the snow, goggles fly off, hat flies off, arms flailing, and snow everywhere fall. Like the falls you see in any type of bloopers video you can think of. But other than those crashes it was a blast, best way to learn snowboarding is on an actual mountain.
We also had Mish come visit us for a week and that was exciting. We went to an authentic Swiss fondue restaurant, Bern, and that was about all I was able to make it to. Between work and Miki being a complete terror I couldn't do much else. Whit on the other hand traveled around to Lichtenstein, Austria, and snowboarding IN Switzerland. Yea I was a little sad that I wasn't able to go, but it was for the best. I could be available for work, and it stopped Miki from going completely crazy. He did manage to actually eat some of Mish's stuff and then throw up on her bed, and then terrorize the kitchen after she left, but if I wasn't around who knew what he was going to do, perhaps eat the couch.
Now we have a bit of a lull with visitors so we can focus on doing things that we want to do, like going out with friends here, or snowboarding, and traveling. But then again who knows, maybe we wont and will just hoard our money, which is something that I am always up for, as long as we can spend it later on something sweet, like a 50" OLED TV...yea that would be awesome.
Anyway thanks for reading and perhaps the next time there will be something a little bit more interesting, like my thoughts on the Olympics or perhaps even some, strange things that Swiss people do.
ummm.... you're blog is incorrect.... we have seen laura since we moved here... she came to visit us - and stayed with us for a weekend.... nice.
